This Privacy Policy explains how Buzer (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our ad network platform at buzer.xyz. We are committed to protecting your privacy while operating an effective advertising service.

Buzer operates as an ad network connecting publishers and advertisers. This policy covers data collected from publishers, advertisers, and end users who view or interact with ads served through our network.

2. Information We Collect

From Publishers and Advertisers

• Wallet address: Your blockchain wallet address, used for authentication and payments
• Domain information: Publisher website domains registered for ad serving
• Campaign data: Advertiser creative materials, targeting preferences, and budget information
• Payment records: USDC transaction history, settlement records, and withdrawal requests

From End Users (Website Visitors)

When ads are served on publisher websites, we may collect:

• IP address: Used for geographic targeting and fraud detection. May be hashed depending on privacy mode.
• User agent: Browser and device information for ad format selection. May be truncated depending on privacy mode.
• Page context: The URL where the ad is displayed, for contextual targeting
• Interaction data: Impression timestamps, clicks, and conversion events

We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other personal contact information from end users viewing ads.

3. How We Use Information

• Ad serving: Matching appropriate advertisements to publisher ad slots based on format, targeting, and context
• Payment processing: Calculating publisher earnings (85% revenue share), settling payments in USDC, and processing withdrawals
• Fraud detection: Identifying invalid traffic (IVT) including bot activity, click fraud, and impression fraud to protect advertisers
• Performance reporting: Providing publishers and advertisers with campaign analytics, impression counts, click-through rates, and conversion data
• Platform improvement: Optimizing ad delivery, improving match quality, and maintaining service reliability

4. Privacy Modes

Buzer supports three privacy modes to respect user consent and regulatory requirements:

• Standard Mode: Full data collection with user consent. Includes IP address, user agent, session tracking, and page URLs.
• Privacy-Enhanced Mode: IP addresses are hashed (SHA-256), user agents are truncated to browser and OS only, and no page URLs are stored.
• Minimal Mode: No personally identifiable information is collected. Only aggregate metrics are recorded. Ads are still served but not tracked to individuals.

The privacy mode is determined by the consent status of the user and whether tracking is first-party or cross-site.

5. Blockchain Data

Buzer operates on the Base blockchain. By using our payment features, you acknowledge that:

• USDC transactions are recorded on the public Base blockchain and are permanently visible
• Wallet addresses associated with transactions are publicly queryable
• We cannot delete or modify data recorded on the blockchain
• Settlement and withdrawal transactions can be verified independently on block explorers

6. Cookies and Tracking

Our ad serving system uses minimal tracking technologies:

• Impression tracking: We record when an ad is displayed to measure delivery and calculate publisher earnings
• Click tracking: We record when a user clicks an ad, with validation to detect fraudulent clicks
• Consent cookie: A consent_cookie may be set to record your tracking preferences

We do not use cross-site tracking cookies, fingerprinting, or behavioral profiling. Our targeting is contextual, based on the content of the page where the ad appears.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data in limited circumstances:

• Advertisers: Receive aggregated performance reports (impressions, clicks, conversions). They do not receive individual user data.
• Publishers: Receive earnings data and aggregated traffic analytics for their own domains.
• Fraud detection: We may share anonymized data with fraud verification partners to maintain traffic quality.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data when required by law, subpoena, or government request.

8. Data Retention

• Impression and click data: 30 days in detail, then aggregated for up to 13 months (IAB recommendation)
• Financial records: Retained for 7 years as required by tax law
• Account data: Retained while your account is active, plus 30 days after deletion request
• Opt-out records: Retained permanently or until expiration to honor your preference
• Audit logs: Retained for 3 years minimum

9. Your Rights

Under GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California), you have the following rights:

• Right to access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Right to object: Opt out of tracking at any time
• Right to portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format (JSON)
• Right to non-discrimination: We will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights. Opted-out users still receive ads, just without tracking.

• Access your data: GET /api/v1/privacy/data/me
• Delete your data: DELETE /api/v1/privacy/data/me

Data access and deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

10. Children's Privacy

Buzer is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, contact us and we will promptly delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
